Brasstronaut

Brasstronaut is a band I found on a mix of new indie music. Their horn sounds and vocal cadence reminds me of some of The Kooks slower stuff. I find myself coming back to this song and I have listened to their ld World Lies EP and enjoy the composition. Check out the latest song from this EP (on Unfamiliar Records):

Cloud Nothings

I always enjoy happy songs and this band, Cloud Nothings definitely qualifies. Low-fi sound is also always a plus. These tracks are reminiscent of a lot of stuff I have including old Beck and newer stuff like Japandroids. You'll see them on this playlist.

Bear Hands

Making their second appearance at SXSW this year, Bear Hands is bringing with them an EP of 3 songs which leads off with "What a Drag". This single has a great hook and back beat. Listening to their others songs, their sound a mix of indie pop and with a bit of post-punk all rolled into one.
